IBM Design Thinking Workshop as part of the Master Seminar
Within the master seminar “Agile Management and Design Thinking”, students of the degree program International Information Systems (IIS) were able to experience their own design thinking project. Together with IBM, the challenges of an online travel portal were analyzed in the new office and meeting rooms of the chair at AEG and possible solutions were developed in four groups. The students went through the seven phases of the IBM Design Thinking Approach. IBM shared its experiences with the students of the seminar and gave valuable hints and tips.
The students were able to take up these experiences in their own seminar papers. At the next day they presented their ideas and conclusions on the application of agile methods in companies and discussed their feasibility with the team of the chair. Many findings from the workshop with IBM were also reported and critically reflected.
